CHAPTER 18 - Zombie Animals

"Ahem, we saw it!"

Ying Yi said with a slight cough.

Everyone saw it. In addition to admiring Wu Lianyi's toughness, they also admired her courage for daring to go deep into the zombie horde alone.

However, there were some people who prepared for a rainy day and bravely went out to search for food. This place has also been visited before, so some stores are open and the things inside have been looted.

However, the stores deep inside the market are basically intact because they are far from the exit, and there are zombies wandering inside. Ordinary people really don't dare go to in. If they get trapped, they will really die there.

These zombies are just a piece of cake for the team searching for supplies. Because the apocalypse broke out at midnight, the farmer's market has been closed. There were only long-distance trucks that came to unload goods at night and stores that received goods, and including the security guards of the farmer's market and workers who take care of the shops, there are no more than 300 people.

It took less than half an hour for the combat team to clean up  the place without making any big noise. Then the team members began to move the supplies inside. A small number of people were responsible for guarding and cleaning up any fish that slipped through the net in time.

Wu Lianyi and Sun Wang were both skilled and bold people. She directly greeted the captain of the supply team and went deep into the farmer's market, where they had not had time to explore yet.

The squad leader knew the strength of the two people, so he just gave them a two-way radio, and allowed them to move around freely.

"Keep your eyes open later, and pack some things for yourself."

Wu Lianyi reminded her younger brother who was looking around.

Sun Wang responded immediately and patted the empty backpack on his back, which was found from a store.

Suddenly a black shadow flashed past, faster than Sun Wang. Fortunately, Sun Wang was vigilant enough and accelerated, reaching Wu Lianyi's side in the next second.

Sun Wang was extremely surprised. There was a black cat with red eyes squatting right where he was standing just now.

The reason why it is said to be a black cat is because of its pair of vertical cat eyes. Its body is almost skin and bones, and it also exudes a foul smell. It is obviously a zombie.

Wu Lianyi's eyes flashed when she saw the zombie cat. She didn't expect a zombie animal to appear so soon. This one looked like a wild cat that turned into a zombie.

Because there is no shortage of food at the farmer's market, wild cats and dogs from the neighborhood would come here to find food.

"Sun Wang, I'll leave this to you. Let's see which one is faster, you or it! Don't let me down!"

Wu Lianyi directly pushed Sun Wang out to deal with the zombie cat. She picked up the two-way radio and began to pass on the message, asking the search team to pay attention to zombie animals, and informed them of the most obvious sign of zombie animals, a pair of red eyes.

Less than 5 minutes after she finished speaking, the search team encountered zombie dogs, and there were more than one. It was probably because they killed the zombies, making these zombie dogs less threatened. At the same time, their flesh and blood were a fatal attraction to these zombie dogs.

Sun Wang relied on his fast speed to firmly restrain the zombie cat. The knife in his hand fell quickly and accurately. At first, the zombie cat dodged it, but in the end, Sun Wang slashed it twice, and a shrill cat howl filled the two people's ears.

This zombie cat was very smart. Although it was fighting with Sun Wang, it was slowly approaching Wu Lianyi who was watching the fun. When it was knocked flying for the third time, it directly used the inertia of flying backwards to scratch Lianyi's chest with its sharp claws. .

This trick was not enough in Wu Lianyi's eyes. She covered her hands with her lightning ability, crouched down, and grabbed the zombie cat's tail with her lightning-covered hands.

The "crackling" of the purple lightning accompanied by the zombie cat's screams made Sun Wang tremble.

"Sun Wang!"

Wu Lianyi called out and threw the zombie cat over. Sun Wang's sharp eyesight and quick hands slashed the zombie cat with the knife before it could recover from the electric shock.

A red peanut-sized crystal core fell from the zombie cat's split head to Sun Wang's feet, and he immediately picked it up.
