CHAPTER 24 - Breaking Through the Limit

The rain was pouring down outside, as if to vent all the dissatisfaction accumulated during this period. This was also the first heavy rain in the three months since the end of the world.

At this time, the water curtain covering the two people's heads suddenly began to expand, slowly covering the entire two-story building. Ying Yi jumped up, feeling full of strength, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. Under this strong pressure, he broke through the second level.

In the next second, the expanding water curtain followed Ying Yi's consciousness and split into water arrows, and shot straight at the large zombie bird flying towards them. Another "crackling" sound was heard, and falling zombie birds covered the entire rooftop.

With a loud boom, Wu Lianyi also successfully advanced with the help of the Level 2 crystal core. The football-sized lightning ball in her hand flew into the sky and connected with the thunder and lightning in the air, making it even more powerful. With the help of falling rain, it spread to the entire airport, dragging all the zombie birds staying there into the attack range.

After using this ultimate move, Wu Lianyi felt the surging power in her body gradually subside. The rain continued to fall, but the ground in front of the two-story building was already covered with a thick layer of zombie bird corpses. They had won this battle.

Wu Lianyi sat directly on the ground and allowed herself to catch her breath, while Ying Yi shouted to his companions below:
"Clean up the zombie birds in the building and move to the large warehouse. It's no longer safe here."

Forty minutes later, Ying Ao and the rest of the people smoothly joined the captain and Lianyi, and then went directly to the previous large warehouse under the open water curtain.

By the time they had successfully entered the large warehouse, the rain had gotten heavier and water had already accumulated in low-lying areas.

At the temporary base, Sun Yi's perception ability broke through to the first level in the evening of the day after Wu Lianyi and the others set off.

When she opened her eyes, she only saw her younger brother. She suddenly had a bad feeling and asked directly:
"Where's Lianyi?"

"She and Captain Ying Yi went on a mission and did not take me with them. They asked me to stay here to protect you here while you upgrade."
