CHAPTER 23 - Encountering Zombie Birds

"Purple Eagle, do you have the ability of Eye Eagle?"

Ying Ao raised his eyebrows and asked.

"No."

At the same time as Ying Yi gave the order, the zombie birds also flapped their balding wings and began to attack the windows of the two-story building where they were located.

The sound of "dong dong dong" was heard endlessly, as if it was hitting everyone's hearts, and the movements of all the team members became faster and faster.

As the sound of the impact became more and more intense, cracks appeared on the already shaky glass, and it seemed that it would shatter in the next second.

In less than five minutes, everyone had gathered in a storage room at the corner of the second floor. The space ability-user quickly put the things inside into the space and made room for everyone to enter.

After the earth ability-user blocked the door and sealed the gaps, the space ability-user released the box that had been put away and used it to block the door.

The storage room was not big, and it was very difficult to fit 17 people inside. In order to leave enough fighting space, everyone could only stand in pairs.

With a "cluck" sound, everyone held their breath, because the zombie birds had entered the two-story building.

Then the "clucking" sound continued, accompanied by the sound of flapping wings. A "dong" sound soon followed, which clearly reached everyone's ears. A zombie bird had begun to attack the door of the room they were in.

"How can it be so fast!"

The space ability-user asked in a low voice.

"The smell! I should have thrown tear gas just now."

Ying Ao said with annoyance.

"No one expected that as soon as the Level 2 zombie died, these birds would come eagerly."

The team member in charge of communications also muttered, and then took out his gun.

"This is an airport, no birds allowed! As a former pilot, the Level 2 zombie would definitely not let zombie birds get close. Our arrival has broken this balance."

Wu Lianyi said softly. She was thinking about how to deal with the current situation. After all, a door and a few boxes could not stop these zombie birds that smelled flesh and blood.

After the sky turned completely dark, some zombie birds had already pecked through the door panels and squeezed into their hiding place. They were all shot in the head one by one. The earth ability-user immediately activated their ability and buried the corpses of the zombie birds. But as time goes by, the number of zombie birds squeezing in was also increasing.

"Go to the big warehouse, lure the zombie birds there, and then blow it up!"

Ying Ao raised his hand and shot a zombie crow before speaking.

Everyone subconsciously stopped shooting, and the accompanying earth ability-user directly fired a row of earth spikes, stabbing the zombie bird that was squeezing in, and then sealed the damaged place.

"Did you hear the wind? There was also the sound of thunder."

Wu Lianyi asked in a low voice.

Everyone tried to ignore the sound of the zombie birds pecking at the door and listened carefully, then Ying Yi whispered:
"The moisture in the air is increasing, it should be raining outside!"

The booming sound of thunder made the zombie birds outside the door quiet for a second, and everyone in the room heard it this time.

Then everyone turned their attention to Wu Lianyi whose code name is Purple Eagle. Because she has lightning ability, this situation is a boost for her.

"Purple Eagle, you want to use the heavy rain to amplify your lightning ability."

Ying Yi had worked with Wu Lianyi before, and he immediately understood what the other party was planning to do.

"Um! We can't miss this opportunity, otherwise we'll be wiped out! God is helping me this time!"

Wu Lianyi narrowed her eyes, then turned to the earth ability-user and said:
"Brother, open a skylight for me so I can get out!"

"I'll cooperate with you!"

Ying Yi immediately spoke out.

Wu Lianyi nodded and did not refuse.

At this time, the white crystal core in the hands of the earth ability-user had turned into powder, and his ability had recovered a little. He immediately mobilized his earth ability to open a hole above his head.

Wu Lianyi jumped up and Ying Yi followed closely. After the two people went up, the earth ability-user immediately closed the hole, leaving only a cat-eye-sized hole so it would be convenient to check the situation of the two.

As soon as the two appeared on the roof, they immediately attracted the zombie birds. Even the dense raindrops could not stop these guys.

Wu Lianyi turned her wrist, and an egg-sized lightning ball was formed. She saw the right moment, waved her hand and threw it out. The dazzling lightning ball quickly spread with the help of the falling rain. The zombie birds surrounding them were electrocuted into charcoal before they could get close to them, and fell down with crackling sounds.

The zombie birds behind them circled around the two people and continued to swoop down. What greeted them was a bigger lightning ball. Purple lightning spread in the air, illuminating half of the airport.
